The Endoscopy Center was established in 2014, originally a part of the Gastroenterology endoscopy department. Over the past decade, the center has undergone significant improvements in scale, equipment, and technical expertise, becoming a collaborative platform for Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Respiratory Medicine, and Proctology departments. The advanced techniques available include high-definition endoscopy, magnifying endoscopy, and endoscopic ultrasonography, which have increased the detection rate of early gastrointestinal cancers. The center is also capable of performing tertiary surgeries such as ESD, EMR, ERCP, and endoscopic variceal band ligation and sclerotherapy, contributing to the hospital's reputation in the field of endoscopy in Tianjin.
